         Republic Azerbaijan the state in east part of Transcaucasia (Southern caucasus), at southwest coast of Caspian sea.     More than half of territory of Azerbaijan is occupied by mountains. The highest mountain of Republic bazarduzu reaches 4466 m. the Nature of Azerbaijan is unique, thanks to a variety of a relief and the sea factor here are presented 9 of 11 climatic zones existing on our planet. The magnificent vegetation of damp subtropics adjoins to a zone of eternal snow and glaciers at tops of mountains. Here there are almost all versions of flora of caucasus. Only in Azerbaijan the pine which has sustained all climatic changes, for last 13 million years, a lotus Caspian, fern Ðàääå, a carnation Shamahi, onions Lenkoran,saffron Caspian and others has remained eldaricus. On slopes of Talishs mountains rare breeds of trees grow: an iron tree, a box, a silk acacia, a yew. Various herbs which since olden days are successfully used in national medicine grow in woods and mountain meadows. The present ornament of the Azerbaijan earth are mountain and low lakes: Goy gol,Maralgol, Alagellyar, Karagol (Small caucasus),Batabat (Nakhichevan), Tufan (The Big caucasus). The fauna (over 12 thousand kinds) is rich and various. On plains and in mountains there are Dagestan rounds, deer, chamoises, äæåéðàíû, marals, wolves, foxes, various kinds of rodents. In woods wild boars and bears are extended. From birds pheasants, partridges, black grouses are found. In Lenkoran's and Akgol's lowland winter: pink flamingos, pelicans, swans, cranes, herons, etc. live In the rivers of the country and Caspian sea about 90 kinds of fishes: the Caspian sturgeon, a salmon, , … For protection vegetative and fauna are created 15 reserves and 20 wildlife closed reserves.
